Vitrumit absorbers are non-combustible and made from a combination of glass and flint, giving them a structure similar to lightweight concrete. This material offers a unique combination of strength, aesthetics, and noise absorption.
Properties and Benefits:
– Can be cast in custom shapes and patterns
– Highly resistant to weather, wind, and mechanical impact
– Composed of glass and flint – natural and sustainable materials
Vitrumit is ideal for use in facades, tunnels, and stations. Vitrumit panels can be mounted on all types of surfaces, providing a durable, aesthetic, and highly absorbent finish.
Public Environments
In public environments where both durability and unique design are required, Vitrumit offers the perfect solution. It can be cast into any shape or pattern—limited only by imagination.
For example, we can create an acoustic brick that looks like a traditional brick but is made from Vitrumit. Build an acoustic wall or barrier, indoors or outdoors, with both functionality and aesthetics in mind.
Indoor
Of course, Vitrumit noise absorbers can also be used indoors. Perhaps create a unique ceiling pattern with molded Vitrumit designs or install absorbent walls?
Road & Railway
Vitrumit is an excellent material for both high and low noise barriers, as well as for platforms and bridges. For these purposes, Vitrumit is ideally used in sheet form, with thicknesses that can be adjusted between 30 mm and 80 mm, depending on absorption requirements.
In most applications, Vitrumit contains 15% flint, which enhances the material’s durability and strength—crucial factors in environments subject to heavy loads and stress.
The Material
100% Recycled Glass
Vitrumit påminner om lättbetong men har även väldigt goda ljudabsorberande egenskaper.
Vitrumit absorbers are non-combustible, made from glass and flint, and resemble lightweight concrete.
It is a versatile material ideally used for facades, tunnels, and stations. The panels can be mounted on most surfaces and provide an absorbent, durable, and aesthetically pleasing finish. For greater design flexibility, the material can also be painted in any color, making it easy to adapt to different environments and architectural styles.

Facts
VM Acoustic Panel 101
The VM acoustic panel is made from specially manufactured glass granulate panels that are cast in molds. The base material consists of 100% expanded recycled glass and an organic polymer binder.
Application Area:
Vitrumit can be mounted directly on ceilings, walls, or steel substrates. It can be used both indoors and outdoors and does not absorb moisture. It is resistant to direct exposure to water and highly resistant to a 10% saltwater solution.
